Job Title: Crestron Programmer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crestron Programmer to join our team in Corpus Christi, Texas. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in designing, programming, and commissioning Crestron systems for education, healthcare, commercial, and corporate environments. You will collaborate with system designers, installers, and other team members to deliver seamless AV solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and Configuration: Develop and implement Crestron control systems, including touch panels, AV devices, and automation systems.
- System Design and Integration: Work closely with AV system designers to ensure that system designs are properly implemented and integrated.
- Commissioning and Testing: Commission and test Crestron systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system functionality.
- Client Support and Training: Provide technical support to clients and end-users, conduct training sessions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Create detailed system documentation, programming notes, and user manuals.
- Collaboration: Work alongside installation teams, project managers, and engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest Crestron programming standards, technology updates, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience programming Crestron systems.
- Certifications: Crestron certification (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, Crestron DMC-D, DMC-E) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Crestron programming languages (SIP, SIMPL, Crestron Studio, Crestron Toolbox).
- Strong understanding of AV systems, control system design, networking, and automation technologies.
- Knowledge of signal flow, audio and video conferencing systems, and building management systems (BMS) integration.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve programming and system issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and installation technicians.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites within the Houston area and occasionally outside the region for large projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in large-scale commercial and corporate AV projects.
Knowledge of lighting, HVAC, and security systems integration with Crestron.
- Experience with other control systems like AMX, Extron, QSC and Biamp
